Iris (b. 1999, Lyon) is a French fine artist.
Her works, made on copper with rare mineral pigments,
rise forward like large pieces of jewelry, resembling the
sacred relics that inspired their creation. After art studies
in Paris, she devoted herself to the study of global past
masters, from draftsmanship to forgotten recipes.
Immersing herself completely in the contemplation of
antiquity's most virtuosic artifacts, a modern,
idiosyncratic system emerged. Out of this new alchemy,
limpid, hyperchromatic colors spring numinously from
natural matter. Pure artistic meditation, at once
figurative and abstract, ancient chimeras
metamorphosing contemporary vision.
